LOC Revised Project Codes

In 2007 the LEDES Oversight Committee ratified Revised Project Codes as an update to the original Project Codes issued by the ABA in 1997.  The code set includes 9 phases and 2 more granular task codes.

The LOC 2007 Revised Project Codes are specifically intended to support global ebilling.  Law firms outside the United States most commonly provide legal services on transactional matters.  Although the original ABA Project Code Set supports transactional work, many clients felt the codes did not provide a detailed-enough schema for evaluating the services provided.
