In 2013 the LEDES Oversight Committee ratified Revised Activity Codes as an update to the original Activity Codes issued by the ABA in 1997.
In this effort, additional codes were added to identify activities that are undertaken by legal vendors other than just law firms. This was in recognition of the trend by clients to mandate ebilling for all types legal vendors providing services to their legal organization.

Clients already ebilling that want to implement the Revised Activity Codes should consider notifying every active timekeeper in the client’s system of the request to begin using the revised codes.
